Overview

The essence of Tanzania lies in the Great Migration—hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossing the Serengeti, followed by lions, hyenas, and other predators. Only a few travel routes truly capture the magic of this natural wonder. We offer you a great chance to witness this spectacle up close, with routes timed to the seasons. During your visit to Arusha, you'll also explore a local community project that supports orphaned children to secure a better future for them.

Itinerary

Day 01 :
Arrival in Arusha, followed by a guided walk around Lake Duluti

We will pick you up from Kilimanjaro Airport and take you to your accommodation for the next stage of your journey. The transfer takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive, you will take some time to relax and refresh while we serve you a delicious breakfast.

In the afternoon, we’ll head out for a scenic hike around Lake Duluti—perfect for getting to know the area, soaking in its natural beauty, and stretching after your long journey to Tanzania.

Optional Activities (Pre-booking Required at Extra Cost): Join us for a picnic lunch with a scenic view of Lake Duluti and evening drinks and dinner at a local restaurant. Main Destination: Lake Duluti

Day 02 :
Drive the Southern Part of Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast in Arusha, you'll hop into a jeep for the 4- to 5-hour drive to the world-famous Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you travel through its rolling hills, you’ll often see Maasai herding their livestock—an authentic glimpse into local life. Your journey continues toward the Naabi Hill Gate, perched on a rise and offering a breathtaking, archetypal view of the Serengeti: a vast, open expanse stretching as far as the eye can see. Even before reaching your camp, you’ll enjoy your first wildlife sightings in the world’s most renowned national park—an enduring symbol of Africa, immortalized in Grzimek’s documentary Serengeti Shall Not Die.

Day 03 :
Game Drive in South of Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, we’ll begin a full-day, extensive game drive in an open-roof safari jeep, taking you through the southern part of the Serengeti—home to vast herds of wildebeest and zebras that give birth to their young during this time of year.

This is the famous calving season. A striking feature of the landscape is the unusual granite rock formations known as kopjes, which rise dramatically from the grassy plains. Among the most scenic and well-known are the Simba Kopjes, where lions are often seen lounging in the sun.

  • All meals included
  • Non-alcoholic drinks
Day 04 :
Search for newborns on a wild rise through the southern Serengeti's calving grounds

The search for newborn animals continues on a game drive through the southern Serengeti during calving season. This is a special time when many wildebeests and zebras give birth. But it’s also a dangerous time, as predators like lions, hyenas, and cheetahs are nearby, looking for an easy meal. It's a chance to see the beauty and harsh reality of nature up close, as new life begins and the struggle for survival starts.

Day 05 :
An early game drive in Serengeti, followed by a drive back to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

A final game drive through the Serengeti—perhaps you’ll be lucky enough to witness a pride of lions hunting? Afterward, you’ll head to the nearby Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You’ll stay in the highlands near the crater rim, perfectly positioned for your safari the following morning. Look forward to staying in stylishly furnished luxury safari tents and enjoying a crackling campfire after dinner.

Day 06 :
Visit Ngorongoro Crater - Africa's Garden of Eden

After an early breakfast at your accommodation in Ngorongoro Conservation Area, we'll embark on a scenic drive to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival, enjoy an exciting game drive across the crater’s wildlife-rich floor, taking in the stunning views and observing the abundant animals that call this UNESCO World Heritage site home. A delicious picnic lunch will be served in the heart of the crater, surrounded by nature. In the afternoon, we’ll continue exploring the crater’s diverse wildlife with another game drive before slowly ascending the crater rim on our way back to Arusha.

Day 07 :
Hike to Waterfalls and Coffee Plantations at the Foot of Mount Kilimanjaro

On this day, we’ll take you on an adventurous hike to the Materuni Waterfalls at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, where you'll discover the region's rich plant and animal life, including chameleons. Nearby, you'll explore local coffee plantations and learn how coffee is traditionally prepared. You'll also meet the people behind this famous drink and discover how coffee production impacts their daily lives. To finish, enjoy a cup of freshly brewed Kilimanjaro coffee—pure and free from industrial additives.

Day 08 :
Visit to a Local Orphanage Project & Guided City Walking Tour

Get ready to experience Arusha in a truly meaningful way! Your adventure begins with a visit to a social project that supports orphans and street children who have lost their homes. Here, you'll have the option to make a direct donation or purchase a lunch, which will be prepared by the hosts and shared with the children at the orphanage.

Afterwards, immerse yourself in Tanzania's rich history with a city tour starting at the famous Clock Tower where you’ll learn about the nation’s historical legacy. Wander through the lively Central Market and soak in the colorful rhythm of daily life. At the Cultural Heritage Centre, explore stunning local art and pick up unique souvenirs. If time permits, visit the Maasai Market and watch talented artisans at work. Your tour concludes at a cozy café, where you’ll enjoy authentic Tanzanian coffee.
